About

Surbhi Sati, Founder, Valmarga Advisory

Built from the inside out.

Surbhi Sati founded Valmarga Advisory after more than ten years working inside private equity fund operations across multiple jurisdictions. Her career spans fund accounting, NAV calculation, LP reporting, investor relations, portfolio company monitoring, and fund launch, across fund administration firms and directly within PE fund management teams.

That operational background is the foundation of what Valmarga does. Governance failures in private equity rarely announce themselves at the board level. They surface first in the mechanics, in reporting gaps, compliance documentation, LP communications, and the space between Investment Committee approvals and transaction execution. Surbhi has worked in that space for over a decade.

Her credentials reflect the cross-jurisdictional nature of the work. As a qualified CPA (Australia), a Company Secretary through the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and a SASB FSA Level I practitioner, she brings trained instincts across Australian, Indian, and US professional frameworks. For mid-market GPs with European LP exposure, cross-border portfolio companies, or regulatory obligations spanning multiple jurisdictions, that breadth is directly relevant.

Valmarga Advisory was founded to serve a specific need. The governance and regulatory infrastructure that institutional LPs and sophisticated buyers now require is within reach for mid-market GP teams, with the right embedded expertise and without the cost of a full-time senior hire.
